So, how did it all begin?

About 14 months ago, I had a very simple problem.

I wanted to keep track of the occasional movies I watched, save links I knew I’d need later, and get a reminder to pay my electricity bill a few days before the deadline.

But I didn’t want another app for any of it.

So I built the first version of Stashy — back then it was called Stasher AI.

No website. No marketing. No launch campaign. Just a chat link that people started forwarding to each other, because it solved a problem they had too.

Then came the reviews.

Some of them were genuinely beautiful. ❤️

People started referring to the chat as an “app.” One review said it felt like a 1-to-1 call with a real person. 😄

And then things changed.

Meta started showing its colors, especially after the first four or five months. The AI was good — really good. But one question kept coming up:

“Why can’t Meta’s own chat do it?”

That was the turning point.

So I rebuilt it from the ground up, on our own terms:

• No more quality limits.
• No more borrowed models running in the background.
• Less AI fluff. More actual functionality.
• And most importantly — you decide which channel you use it on.

Where it’s going

Stashy started because I didn’t want another app. Maybe it can now become the thing that makes you need fewer of them.
